AU unsung playing hero ……discuss

Inspired by a podcast I listened to , who do you think are AylesburyUtdFC unsung playing heroes of the last 10 years? Reliable. Does his job brilliantly, quietly, doesn’t get the credit, under the radar, not necessarily fans favourite, but fans really appreciate what they are & what they do.

'Not necessarily a fans favourite' - rules out Riddick!

Jordan Jenkins is quietly becoming one of the names I am always keen to see on the teamsheet!

HTH, how can you possibly write that when almost everyone we know raves about Riddick as being the player we needed / been missing for years?

They're all unsung heroes. Pretty sure most, if not all, could get more money elsewhere but they stick with the club because of those additional things being a part of Aylesbury United brings that money can't buy. We're a club of unsung heroes on and off the pitch.

Until just recently, I worked with Peter Risley’s nephew for a number of years. Apparently he has very fond memories of his time at the club.

Regarding Lee’s comment, I have to concur wholeheartedly. We have not had too many players over the past few years that have not given of their best for the Club.

With the unsung heroes off the pitch, there would be no Club without this dedicated bunch. Having recently witnessed the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes, I have nothing but admiration and thanks for the effort they put in. Add to that the supporters walking to Dunstable to raise money for charity and we really do have some people going above and beyond in the name of AUFC.
