Totally agree Lee. No different there, ref let himself down there. Off the mark now onwards and upwards!

A good evening's entertainment, certainly worth the entrance fee.

We looked so much better with our returnees back (please be available on Sunday lads!) and his third goal showed how dangerous a confident Ty can be.

The Kidlington Number 8 made exactly the same challenge on Ollie H that Jake made on the Didcot player on Saturday but didn't even get a talking to. I like to back referees but the laws on two footed challenges need either clarifying or applying properly.

Congrats to Kidlington on having the best kit of the season so far.

Wow - that was good value for money - 8 for all that entertainment ! Fastest goal I've ever seen. first half hat trick from Ty, a spirited fightback from Kidlington (2 goals plus they hit the bar)which left us reeling on the ropes at half time, followed by a sending off of their goalkeeper, some cracking goals, with us also hitting the woodwork 3 times
Obviously they got a good half time talk from ben as the team looked much more settled in the second half, but despite the 3 excellent first half goals we looked very vulnerable defensively in the first 45, with Jake really struggling against their excellent no.7

Think overall we looked a bit rusty, especially with our passing, and to go 3 up in 25 minutes was possibly fortuitous, as their keeper didn't make a single save in the first half and Kidlington had just as many chances.
As i said the half time talk obviously worked as did the substitutions, with Jellis and the new lad, Ezra, giving us some much needed pace and ability.
Antonio Forde looks like a useful addition, he's strong, pacey and not afraid to get a shot off.
MOTM is obviously Deacon for his first half hat trick , and some really well taken goals

Or AFC Dunstable not as good as last season?

I see Didcot beat AFC Dunstable last night, so maybe they aren't going to be as bad this season as expected!

Disappointing day all round ,  agree Didcot certainly celebrated as if they'd taken a big scalp ' . Full credit to the 'ten ' who tried their best as the floodgates could have opened.
Nice to see a few faces and have a catch-up ,and the sun shone .
We'll bounce back , don't you worry .
Stay positive 👍

A few reasons for players not being available. One player had C19 and as a result a few were then isolating. A couple of injuries and a few I believe were away.

Agree it would be hard for any team to cope with that amount of players missing. Would say though we were slow starting and Didcot weren't - just getting back into it and should have definitely scored from open goal (keeper was very relieved after his mistake) and hit the bar from a good header but the sending off then killed the game from our perspective.

I think the over celebrating from Didcot at the end is the perfect team talk material for when we play them later in the season.

Dont think Ive seen us that decimated for a long time. Listing the players missing will make your eyes water!

The red card added insult to injury. People questioned the card but wed have wanted one if a Didcot player had done similar. There was no malice on Jakes part it was just an extra dollop of bad luck we could have done without.

Pretty confident well get some points on the board at Kidlington although they had a poor start as well yesterday so will be looking to put that right.

I'd be surprised if any team in our league could lose that many people from their match day squad and achieve a result.  Thankfully most will be back quite quickly and hopefully normal service can be resumed.

What reasons for them missing?
