Aylesbury United Discussion / Calling All Supporters - Respond to the Buckingham Road Planning Application
« Last post by andreasmartini on November 23, 2020, 03:17:36 PM »To all
A planning application was submitted by the new owners of the Buckingham Road stadium in October for permission to redevelop the site for residential use including 42 houses. Aylesbury Town Council have recently submitted a response to this application and have said that the developer should 'contribute towards new graded football facilities for the town by ring fencing Section 106 money for this much needed new facility' something the club fully supports. The application also contains some inaccuracies regarding the history and current position of the football club, which the club will be responding to as part of it's own response to this application.
We note that there have been a number of objections to this application, from local residents and also from supporters of the club. We call on all supporters of the club to submit their own comments to this application and to do so online before the end of 26th November when the standard consultation comes to an end.
Please find below a link to where you can submit comments as well as some suggested points for you to use.
Finally the club would like to thank Aylesbury Town Council and the Stadium Working Group for their continuing endeavours to provide the town with a community sports stadium.

- Aylesbury United FC do not have a 'new home' and have been homeless since 2006 playing with their first team playing home games in three different local towns during this period -#BringTheDucksHome
- Sport England should be consulted upon this application
- Endorse the comments from the Sustainable Drainage Team in relation to flooding
- There will be an increase in peak time traffic on an already congested road and surrounding road network
