Just 2 days to respond to this survey...……….

Thanks Erika - a hurried message from me and didn’t notice links didn’t copy!

This survey will take a couple of minutes to complete. Let’s get a lot of responses submitted to this with an AUFC slant.......#BringTheDucksHome

There is currently a public consultation on the Aylesbury Garden Town Draft Masterplan, open until 5pm on Friday 14th February. More information about the draft masterplan can be located here, including a survey where feedback can be provided.
Responding to this survey is a good opportunity for supporters of the club to help the club in its attempt to return with community facility in the town. Please find below suggested responses to some of the questions included in the survey. There are different types of questions, some where options should be ranked and others were there is an opportunity to provide open text responses.

21st Century Ducks
Aylesbury United Supporters Trust

Question 6
“Respond positively to changing patterns of retail and leisure” – Rank 1st

Question 11
“Centres and community facilities will be accessible to all, reflecting the legacy of Stoke Mandeville and the Paralympic movement” – Rank 1st, and

“The location of services and centres will promote active and healthy lifestyles through well designed infrastructures that makes it easy to access by walking, cycling and public transport”  - Rank 2nd

Question 14
There should be a community sporting facility where all sections of Aylesbury United FC can play football. The club have teams including all age groups for boys and girls from Mini Ducks to first teams, a disability section and a walking football team. This would provide further leisure opportunity to the population of Aylesbury and the local area in return helping to improve health and fitness.

Question 15

Ok - that makes sense.

I see the ducks won the Ollie Bayliss team of the week vote but were 3rd out of 4 in the Southern League vote for away win of the day in our league - behind North Leigh and Yaxley……..

Not seen anything on the Southern League site about the 500. They mentioned in the Thame write up about Goss getting to 100 though.....

Couldn’t believe what I was seeing on Twitter yesterday but then realised we were playing on artificial pitch and it all made sense! Fantastic victory and good to see the goals spread around.

If we don’t win the league away win of the day vote on Twitter something is wrong (although most people vote for their team in these things)

As for the Leader, he simply leads!

Aylesbury United Discussion / Sponsored "Duck Walk" to Berkhamsted
« on: January 19, 2020, 12:08:25 PM »
There will be a sponsored "Duck Walk" to Berkhamsted on 4th April to help raise more exposure to our homelessness. Money raised will be donated to the club charity partner for the season, The Ducklings Trust.

The walk will start at Buckingham Road before leisurely 13.5 mile stroll along the canal all the way to Broadwater, Berkhamsted to cheer the ducks on. More details will be finalised nearer the time, including how to donate, pub we will be stopping at for a refreshing beverage etc.

Please let me know if you would like to take part in the walk. The benefit will not only be raising money for a fantastic local charity but also not having to try and find a parking space at the ground which is notoriously difficult!

Fantastic news re D.O.C - crunching and fully committed challenge from him which unfortunately saw him worse off! Amazing effort by all the physio team, including from Biggleswade, and everyone else who got involved in trying to help/keep him warm etc.

As for the game, fits and starts springs to mind with periods of time when both teams dominated but not surprising given the delay. Well taken goal from Jesus and composed nuts finish by The French Revolution. Mark the Shark MOM for me - what a signing he has been!

Hoping Keaton August will be good signing. Hats off to the efforts of our now only Ken who had to put in a lot of effort this week in getting that signing done.

Totally agree re agent at 4th step of non-league is so not necessary. They rip the players off, always looking for the next income, fill their heads with nonsense and probably not got the interests of the player in mind. Interesting to see where he pops up next - somewhere he will struggle to travel to no doubt!

That is some truly incredible journalism from Mix 96, and I don't mean the 'very good' definition of incredible.

Couldn't believe it when I saw the Mix96 piece earlier - it is shocking especially after the journo made contact with Ollie Baylis on twitter for more info

I heard a Graham Read clip on the Ollie Baylis non-league show tonight. Graham spoke to Ollie before the programme via phone.

I do have to agree with what Luke said earlier on in the thread. The fact it has passed from owner to owner over the years makes me think there will be difficulties in getting houses/flats/retirement home on the site.

With Christmas fast approaching its a great time to buy a #BringTheDucksHome car sticker. Perfect for car, home, the wife or even someone else's wife...….(husband or partner also appropriate here)

I think the frustration of having seen so many fantastic performances this season is that our two worst performances have come in cup competitions that matter in terms of income. Unfortunately due to those fantastic performances the bar has been set at potentially a higher bar than it should have been? I think we would have all taken unbeaten in the league after 9 and second best defensive record in the country before the season started although I am sure we would have liked us to have more of a cup run in either the senior cups.

I heard one of their fans say that was the best they had seen HH play for quite a while, particularly in the first half, so it sounds like they raised their game yesterday. Their number 4 was a very good player and basically cut off the supply to Deacon. He was also pretty handy on the ball and going forward.

I would suggest that they had done their homework and the videos on twitter from Sevenoaks showed some areas of weakness which they were able to capitalise on / prepare for. They pressed us high up the pitch, nullified our wide play and had clearly practiced set pieces. It was unfortunate that marking mistakes led to two of the goals but shows that we need practice on this (as well as shooting!). There was one occasion on a corner where one of our centre backs was dragged out by the player they were marking becoming a short option, this should never happen and they should have swapped. Centre backs need to remain in the box!

It was interesting to see HH warm up. Their attacking players were practising finishing from crosses and particularly heading. Given our shooting boots were not on against Dunstable this may have been a good exercise for us to do.....?

Given the wind/rain advantage in the second half there should have been a clear message to pepper their goal keeper with shots with Deacon closing down the keeper in case of a spillage. They nearly scored from well hit long shots that the wind clearly helped so why didn't we do the same. Not the first time in the last few years we have not played to the conditions.

Unfortunate that we had so many off performances and picked up another injury or potentially two. Hopefully Riddick injury is not too serious and Hoggy returns soon. Was surprised to see Bally replaced at half time as he actually made a good few tackles/interceptions in the first half although it might have been a roll of the dice to bring a more attack minded player on.....?

Fantastic support from us as usual. One or two idiotic HH fans in attendance that seemed to want some agro which was unnecessary, and great that we didn't rise to that idiotic behaviour. When you score, just celebrate the goal - there is no need to try to aggravate the other set of fans.

Also what is the point in having a drum and only drumming it a couple of times during the match...……..
