It will be an interesting team selection for the Bedford match. Assuming Jack W, Doc and JJ are not available and the rest of the match squad are, will we have a back 3 of Anthony Ball , Derek Feyi and Jake B with Greg and Mark sitting in front as insurance ?
When Sonny moved more central on Sat he was more effective, Lewis appears to behind the pace we need to play at. He needs more game time somewhere. I hope Melvy is available for Tuesday
Overall we got away with a win on Sat that looked a times beyond us. The improvement in the second half was the difference. Please lets sort out a penalty taker.

Aylesbury got caught cold today 2 down in  2 minutes . They soon settled down and gave a good account of themselves. Second half was fairly even , but Stonesfield scored a third near the end. The team was short of 4/5 usual starters so on to the next game . Next home game 15th Sept at Fairford Leys . Hot drinks available

It was clear to me on Monday that the conditions were not acceptable for the players. Both teams played on the Saturday in similar conditions. The match at times was an extreme endurance test for which the players could not have been prepared for  without specialist training.  I noted Ben started with all the bench players from Saturday.
My recommendation would be to make the kick off for any Monday game at 7.30 or later. This is within the control of the home team. Our directors should also request other clubs to follow our lead.

The search for another centre forward will be long as we have no money. The options should include using different formations with our pace from mid fielders . I thought Melyn had pace and control today.

The above is a link to the facebook page of the walking football team. It includes a report by Danny of the Berks Bucks FA county cup. Aylesbury beat Watford in the final.

I went to Thame v Oxford Utd tonight and saw Callum Mapley on trial. I hope he does not sign for Thame. Matt Peake-Pijen. They both started and came off after 50 minutes

I think George will be looking at Aston Clinton players , the Collins brothers , Dave Brown , Ashley Clark. I would hope that Ollie Hogg and Ben Seaton have more ambition than Sparten League

I enjoyed today's match ,it showed the pride the team has in its performance. I did like the position Max was playing just behind the front two and his goal was very well struck. The goal by Tre was well taken and showed to me with a good supply he will score lots of goals. One of our weaknesses during the season is finding a consistent supply of accurate passes to our forwards.
I believe by building the club from the youngers of all ages Aylesbury United  can develop a sustainable and successful football club for the community of Aylesbury. So it important to have a ground in Aylesbury.

I could not go to the match today, but from the team Ayles Dynamos put out I sensed this might happen.
We had our full team out on Sat. and they saved their legs by playing a team packed with four  U18 on Sat.
Did we just run out of gas today?
This turn around between games is too short when the weather as it has been.
The team WILL recover for the last home match , pride is at stake.
