Lol G&W just posted the same thing before deleting it. Had me panicking for a minute! Seems to be a different Jack Wood, the one Berko have registered is 16...

Oh gutted. Jumped the gun thinking a game was in my neck of the woods!

I believe Walthamstow have a coach going to the game D&C!

I've also heard that TFL are kindly running Tube services to Chesham!  ;)

Why has the Vase got extra time and if still no result it goes to a replay?

Always been that way, it can be agreed between the two clubs. Same can be applied in the FA Trophy now as well I think.

Agreed both good players but you can't play everybody, and no reason to change anything right now.

As Lee said Bally was there on Saturday and when asked why he wasn't involved they didn't want to risk him after Monday.

Daventry did loose their discipline, even Ollie Stanbridge got booked!

10 years ago he would have made it in time to make that tackle though!  ;D

2 significant 'turning points' in the game yesterday:

1. When Hoppy 'saved' and the ball came back off the bar when it could have gone anywhere. Seconds later we won a penalty and went ahead.
2. The sending off of Captain Mouth. Instead of being under pressure for the last 10 minutes, we suddenly had plenty of space to exploit and scored another two goals.

All in all a tremendous three points. Been a while since I've seen such a team of moaners, but we showed great temperament and didn't let it affect our game and deserved the win.

Won't be easy, no, but I've seen worse cup draws! Hopefully a decent crowd on a Sunday too...

33 now...haven't seen him play in a while but he only played a handful of games last season (Leighton/Buckingham) so I would suggest Southern League football might be behind him!

Defender Chris Jackson, now 37 - who had a fairly undistinguished time with the Ducks as one of Kevin Wilson's many signings from Bedford Town - will probably play against us on Tuesday for Wantage Town. It was 16 years ago he played for us!

CAUTION: For those driving, check your destination carefully and don't rely solely on the club's postcode as that appears to take you into a field behind it somewhere! Probably a picturesque Cotswold-y field, but still a field...

Did Woody play right back?

I'd be more than happy to do the Twittering as long as you're not expecting full play-by-play, no comps necessary! Not touching match reports with a barge pole though!

Leon I've emailed you.

21st Century Ducks / 21st Century Ducks - Membership Renewal 2019/20
« on: August 12, 2019, 09:39:44 AM »
It's time to renew membership for the season:

- If you have a standing order in place you do not need to do anything.

- If you pay the 'standard' option please complete the form and either post to me (with a cheque) or hand to Andy Martin at a game with a cheque/cash

Not touching match reports with a barge pole though!

You're not the only one it seems!

I think we've filled the Twitter vacancy though.
