Aylesbury United Discussion / What Happened to the North Leigh thread?

It seemed to contain reasonable debate. Did some overstep the mark?

Aylesbury United Discussion / New Season Preview
« on: August 16, 2018, 04:16:48 PM »
Another excellent job Luke.

Having digested the preview I would comment as follows:-

AFC Dunstable and Welwyn Garden City played each other in a pre-season friendly? Under no circumstances should teams from the same division play each other in a pre-season friendly. The league should dock both 3 points accordingly.

My predicted top 5 (in no particular order) is:-

Aylesbury United
Peterborough Sports
Bedford Town
Bromsgrove Sporting
Cambridge City

Finally, it wasn't until I read the preview that I realised what a competitive division it is going to be this year!

Aylesbury United Discussion / If You're Missing Football Already...

Aylesbury United Juniors U14 vs Chinnor Youth U14 kicks off at 6.30 at Fairford Leys this evening.

4th vs 2nd in U14 Division 4. With both teams having played on Sunday and all players having been at school all day it's difficult to predict what kind of game we're going to get!

Anyone know if we had a little dabble on deadline day yesterday?

Sky Sports News have been surprisingly quiet about the whole thing.

Only need to beat already relegated Margate on Saturday to secure promotion to the Conference National.

With the likes of them, Bromley and Braintree experiencing the 'big time' in recent years it really hammers home how wrong things have gone for this club over the last 25 years or so!

Aylesbury United Discussion / Supporters Game v FC
« on: April 18, 2017, 01:44:42 PM »
Been asked to float the idea of a re-match from a few years ago on here.

Would anyone be interested? There's been mention of making it a charity game which would be good.

Please comment below if you would like to play or know anyone who would like to so that the level of interest can be determined. I'm sure I could get a few of the Junior coaches to play.

Also is there any chance of Jools from FC being allowed to register on here as he is one of those organising the game?

Aylesbury United Discussion / Football Days Out That You Miss
« on: January 12, 2017, 01:39:41 PM »
Came across this subject on another forum.

Two that immediately spring to mind for me are Dulwich Hamlet (the novelty of the coach ride through London) and Worthing (the day out by the seaside).
