That looks like the defence is sorted out for next season. Callum who?!

How did they decide that?! Weren’t Bedford one of the longest surviving Step 4 teams in last year’s Trophy? Seem to remember they gave Aldershot U15s a bit of a spanking.

Injuries didn't do him any favours. Looks like they've settled down as he played 40 odd games last season so he will be a good acquisition.

Only concern I have is no mention of Woody so far this pre-season.

Please tell me he’s on holiday!

If Luke and G&W are excited you know they’re good!

He was excellent when he first joined but wasn’t at his best last season.

This time of year must be such a headache for managers with players ‘shopping around’. I admire players that pick where they want to play early, commit to that team and then get on with preparing for the season with that team.

A very encouraging first set of signings I'm sure everyone will agree.

Brennan and Maynard should never have let themselves get tempted by the £££ of Billericay. They should do ok at Wealdstone, a far more sensibly run club.

They’re the league below now so of no interest to us.

You don’t see Chelsea bothering with Brentford do you?

I think we'll be more than ok as we have been the last two seasons but whilst the club remains in survival mode it's always best to be clear on what is required to stay up!

Once we get back home I expect Conference Football in three seasons  ;D

Yes, the worst that can happen at the end of this coming season is a home play off against a Step 5 side to stay up.

If this looks like being the case just sign a few players from higher levels on dual registration before the transfer deadline on the proviso they'll only play in a play off if needed and survival will more than likely be secured! No doubt there will be a few clubs that actually do this.

Could you imagine such a play off against VD?!!!!

I think we'll be alright. We may not be the biggest spenders in the league but I'd bet we offer some of the best coaching available at step four, one of the best team spirits and if you're a talented youngster you know you'll get a chance to impress.

There should always be an open door for Max at Aylesbury United but I wouldn’t loose any sleep over Tre not coming back.

I wonder what Bedford's return per pound spent is?

Sensible young man progressing his career a step at a time - anyone would think he was related to someone who knows what it’s all about!
