OFFICIAL:  season 19/20 for steps 3-6 has been cancelled and all results expunged.  No promotion or relegation.

Dare I say not having our own ground and missing out on Buckingham Rd could be a blessing is disguise at the moment?  We probably have fewer overheads than a lot of other clubs right now.

PPG for promotion seems the fairest way to finish.  Obviously playoffs won't happen.  No relegation and play every league with one extra team next season; then re-org after that to get desired numbers back.

I thought there was some great passages of play which wasn't easy in windy conditions.  Everyone had a good game and it's good to see a strong bench to back things up.  Hopefully the injury to Bally isn't serious.

Ligament damage could be out for a while.

He might have enough time to recover at this rate...

I thought our support was decent; we had about half the crowd there.  I ended up speaking to some fans I didn't recognise which is a rarity!

Agents take money out of the game; to have them at this level is nuts.  Fully in support if the manager/club refuse to deal with them.

Again the level of performance was better in the second half. I did not see any lack of effort , just poor passing and play not linking up. We must all accept the variation in performance, we are all human not robots. I suspect the players will reflect and agree better passing etc will lead to better goal scoring opportunities.
A key change today was moving Jack into midfield providing more energy and drive. In my opinion both Bally and Jack were my motm.
Sometimes it will not look pretty, but so long as we get something from the game, so be it.
Next up Wantage

Who just won their first game of the season with an ex-Duck* scoring for them.

*Sort of.  Sydney Ibie...

Well, what now?

Chesham for the next few years at least...then who knows?  There's lot's of maybes and mights with other options but it feels like a proper opportunity has now gone.

I'm not sure Buckingham Road will ever be gone to be honest. Maybe I'm wrong, but can't help thinking that this cycle of it passing from one developer to the next is far from over, as none of them realise that actually getting the consents to develop the site seems to be near impossible (or it would have been done already, no?). Just think it will be there forever haunting us.

I do hope the new 'owner' has done their homework and hasn't wasted 800,000...

I hope you're right and that it does come back on the market.  We will be in position to try again?  Only time will tell.

It seems like the quote at the end of this story tells us Buckingham Rd will not be an option again.
