Title: Squad members
Post by: Jim R on February 09, 2019, 11:08:29 PM
Just seen the post from Northwood who have signed Kierran Lataille. I should have half expect it.
My concern is we only have Archie Davis signed on , as a keeper. I do hope he stays fit to play for the rest of this season. On the day I would expect Greg  Williams would put on the gloves , if Archie had to go off.  I suspect Ben should have a plan to cover for Archie.
Good to see today Jack Sillitoe helping with Archie's warm up,

Colehill match just showed we cant defend,
Ball kept jumping into tackles and getting caught out for most of the game,
Loads of backwards passing very difficult to watch
Tucker and jack wood had a great game and most ridiculous was that berry got substituted,
We did manage to score some nice goals but sadly to much of the same defending this season

Ball is young so easy to single him out. I think he will turn out to be a great signing. My opinion only this was same last season. Really need to strengthen wisley in close season.

Think it was this quote that got Smelly's fluffer Will to tweet Mr Ball telling him that we can't defend. If you are going to grass anyone up,  William, get your facts straight first  :-*

Strange how people see the game differently.me n my compadres have him motm.we were trying to think of the last proper right back wed had (apart from Hinds- lCadette before his injury) i've been really impressed with him and tucker. Certainly improved the team. Be interesting to know what Ben thinks is going wrong with the defence because individually they are all good players.is it a lack of discipline collectively or individually? Is there a lack of communication coz the same old problems seem to rear their ugly heads every other week?

This is what happens when your season is withering away into nothing, you try and disrupt other people’s.

Will Kirkpatrick sums him up . As for Tony thought better of you. Both entitiled to there opinions and freedom of speech just as anyone. Shame people can see through it! As for Balley he knows the score!

Like HTH I thought Ball was our man of the match. Think he's been absolutely outstanding every week. Reminds me a lot of Jack Wood in his early days at the club.

Agree Ball is quality . Defence issues down to concentration levels although individual mistakes prove costly . Previous week we defended heroically....I guess that what happens at this level . Great to see Sonny back . Looking forward to the rest of the season....unlike some !!!???

Only seen him once but echo these sentiments.

(And looking forward to these opinions being relayed back to Twitter by our watchers, or is it only the negative that gets posted there?)

I think we have a bite......

We do ship far too many goals, that's a fact, but no one is going to blame the bloke that came in a couple of games ago.

Maybe Will can meet Lee over a coffee and call him what he said to his face. True class. Must be great for parents of Bedgrove Dynomos to read that. Keep it up Will !

I don't know what's being said but I would've thought Mr masella n his mini mob might have better things to do than commenting on us given their problems with V.D. (that is their name this week isn't it?)

 ;D ;D ;D

Given their league position,  the real VD is more difficult to catch.

😂 That’s him and a bloke from Wanted Down Under who’ve had a go at me in the last week (although I was led astray by another Ducks fan on the Wanted Down Under one).

I hope they aren’t as snotty with Harpenden Town fans when they’re competing with them for mid table mediocrity next season.

To this day, and in fairness having lived away from the town for well over 20 years am somewhat detached, but can't for the life of me understand the vitriol from Stocklake/Quarrendon/Vale/FC/Dynamos towards us. Just not clear how/why anybody would take such a dislike to their town's senior non league football team who haven't even played in the town for 13 years - like MK Dons fans hating AFC Wimbledon. when I've asked the question, the responses have been like trying to get a straight answer out of a politician. I must be missing something.

Shame Wanted Down Under's series finishes this week Lee ...  ;)

I stick by my opinion of the game, i think Ball had an awful first half and coleshill targeted our right side, hes a good player but on a heavy pitch youth got the better of him and too often was jumping into tackles and get caught out, saying that he did get better in the second half but damage was already done,
Still cant get my head around the Berry substitution tho,
But as been said all season when will our team toughen up coleshill were a poor side and we should be winning matches like that.

Id be interested to know what the clubs target is tho, has the season fizzled out or are they thinking 4wins in a row could put us in a great position still ?????

The management want to win as many games as possible between now and the end of the season and finish as high as is possible. The team will set out to try and win each and every remaining game. That was the target in August and is still the target in February I would imagine.

You're alright Harvivia - looks like Former Chairman Don Tone will message you a response as his pet lickspittle Will has dutifully located your twitter account. Tone doesnt like people using handles or nicknames though, he likes to know who people are, because that's how the internet works.

In the interest of balance I hope he's tweeted all our players letting them know they're being complimented on their performance last night on here.
